Alice a True Story Malayalam Movie

Written and directed by Anil Das, with Rahul Madhav and Priyamani playing lead roles, The True Story tells the story of a person who suffers from Fugue State, a rare psychiatric disorder, where a person faces identity crisis. This may be due to a recent accident or because of an unsuccessful suicide attempt and the victim will forget his own identity.

Alice (Priyamani), an orally challenged orphan is an extremely talented artist who used to paint listening to the violin played by Mother superior Agnes. She painted to the tunes of Agnes and the various hidden images which were concealed in the paintings were registered through Agnes’ music. After the demise of Alice, no one cared to find the hidden images and considered Alice’s paintings as any other usual ones. The real value of the paintings was forgotten, both by Alice and by others.

Melvin Immanuel (Rahul Madhav) is a young architect who does research on hidden paintings. He realizes the value of Alice’s paintings and shows them to the world and in the process falls in love with her. Alice becomes world famous when Melvin takes the paintings to various centers where he has done research. She becomes known as the painter who hides images in mural paintings. Melvin realizes that the hidden images in Alice’s paintings portray the hidden life and mysteries in Alice’s real life and that her true identity is reflected in her paintings.

The True Story, true to its name, is a true story which the director has encountered in his life. Baby Thottiyaan produces the movie under the banner of Continental Stars. M J Radhakrishnan handles the camera while Rajashekar takes care of the cuts.
